PEDAGOGY WORKSHOP ON EFFECTIVE TEACHING

International and Private Schools

International and other private schools play an increasingly important role in meeting the educational needs in our community. The success of these schools is to a large part built on their acknowledging that to improve student outcomes, attention must also be given to improving the quality of the teaching workforce.

Espact’s pedagogy workshop on effective teaching is specially designed for teachers in these schools. The course addresses the schools’ needs to refresh the knowledge of professional teachers and to train those who are already proficient in subject content knowledge to become effective teachers. Pedagogical knowledge refers to the specialized knowledge of teachers for creating effective teaching and learning environments for all students. This course focuses on the pedagogical knowledge base of teachers and the changing aspects of that knowledge to help participants to better accomplish their role as teachers to improve student outcomes.

Workshop Format

The workshop will be conducted in residential camps over three weekends (Friday night check-in, Sunday evening check-out. The camps will be held in hotels. Participants will undergo 13 hours of instruction in each session.
